TERF belief is:
1) Not worthy of respect in a democratic society
2) Incompatible with the human rights of others
3) There is significant scientific evidence that trans exclusionary belief is wrong
4) Creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading,
humiliating & offensive environment
The UK court judgement also found that the anti trans claimant 'came to this belief recently, is fixed on it, is becoming more so and is not prepared to
consider the possibility that her belief may not be correct'.

TLDR: TERFS are fundamentalist bigots.

American Evangelicals are working in Uganda, to persecute LGBTI people. Working with lawmakers to restrict freedom of expression of LBGTI people, suppress their civil rights, & attempting to "make the very existence of LGBTI people in Uganda a crime".
Evangelicals like Scott Lively, the US power behind the Uganda legislation, who infamously blames gay people for Nazism & the Holocaust, have pivoted from anti gay lobbying to anti trans. While they are losing the fight for equality in the USA they are funding internationally.
They are pouring money into anti equality lobbyists across Africa, & also in Europe. Recent investigations have revealed dark money behind anti rights campaigns in Ireland, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Spain and Serbia. Lively has been personally involved in lobbying Russia & Latvia

1 year of puberty for a trans girl = voice breaking
2 years of puberty for a trans boy = start of period & breast growth
4 years of puberty for a trans girl = facial hair.
The biggest areas of dysphoria for trans adolescents are avoidable with safe reversible puberty blockers.
The majority of trans adolescents who want to access puberty blockers & would benefit from them, are prevented in doing so due to 2 year + waiting list followed by a minimum 6 month assessment period. This removes individual choice & body autonomy & can lead to long term harm.
Over and over again I hear from trans women that hair is their largest source of dysphoria and its removal their largest cost in terms of time & money. On cost see dazeddigital.com/beauty/body/ar… by @junodawson. Give trans youth the choice to decide if blockers are right for them.

Psychological assessment to determine if a trans adolescent meets a stereotype ridden diagnosis of gender dysphoria is both unnecessary & stigmatising. Telling a young person they require (years of) mandatory assessments simply because they are trans can be othering & harmful 1/
Making this assessment (by psychologists & psycholanalysts not medical doctors) a barrier to accessing medical support is harmful & stigmatising in and of itself. Making even access to that assessment practically impossible (no self referral, 2 year waiting list) is abusive. 2/
I entirely support providing patient centred trans inclusive therapy to all children & young people (& their families) who desire it. I would have loved some counselling when we went through a really hard time when my child came out. This shouldn't however be a barrier to care 3/

OK so @jk_rowling has come out as a full TERF and is gaslighting everyone that doesn't understand what has been going on.

"Forcing women out of their jobs for stating that sex is real" is a false narrative at best, in reality is an outright lie.

The entire purpose of this court case was to validate anti trans hatred in the UK

The Employment Tribunal has rejected the claim by Maya Forstater finding that a belief that sex is biologically immutable is not a protected belief within the meaning of the Equality Act 2010. It's an interesting and (if not overturned) important judgment drive.google.com/file/d/12P9zf8…
Lots in there and the judge didn't shy away from reaching conclusions on some important issues:
- the criteria to be applied to a 'lack of belief',
- whether an "absolutist" view of trans people is compatible with dignity and fundamental rights of others (court said no)
- the "absolutist" view of the immutability of sex can lead to harassment and is therefore "not worthy of respect in a democratic society" (this is a technical phrase which excludes a belief from human rights protection even if it is cogent and serious)

Art 10 is relevant as well as Art 9, because much of what MF said was outside work, not at work. Background to GRA is relevant too. History to GRA now being set out.
When you read s.9 GRA in full, patently obvious that it must mean for all legal purposes, enacting ss.2, as it is about legal provisions. It cannot possibly mean more than that because the law cannot make the impossible possible.
When KH was asked about s.9, her immediate response was that it is a legal fiction.
J: I asked KH for her views on s.9 as it currently is, and whether it should be easier to obtain one.

I'm at the Employment Tribunal this morning to watch closing submissions for the #MayaForstaterCase2019. It's a particularly interesting case on whether a) gender critical beliefs and / or b) a belief in innate gender identity are protected philosophical beliefs.
Does there have to be a belief in innate gender identity in order for absence of belief to be protected? Possibly not, say the judge and counsel for the Respondent (employer)
Respondent kicks off with the assertion that MF's beliefs fail on Grainger 5: that they are incompatible with human dignity.
