American Evangelicals are working in Uganda, to persecute LGBTI people. Working with lawmakers to restrict freedom of expression of LBGTI people, suppress their civil rights, & attempting to "make the very existence of LGBTI people in Uganda a crime".
Evangelicals like Scott Lively, the US power behind the Uganda legislation, who infamously blames gay people for Nazism & the Holocaust, have pivoted from anti gay lobbying to anti trans. While they are losing the fight for equality in the USA they are funding internationally. 
They are pouring money into anti equality lobbyists across Africa, & also in Europe. Recent investigations have revealed dark money behind anti rights campaigns in Ireland, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Spain and Serbia. Lively has been personally involved in lobbying Russia & Latvia
This dark money is also coming into the UK to fund anti trans lobbying. Unlike Uganda or Poland, though the groups in England doing the work on the ground are not Pastors but academics, politicians, catholic mums & women's rights campaigners.
This week trans people received unlikely support from Cathy Brennan, a US Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist who has worked to restrict rights of trans people internationally. Brennan was shocked that UK anti trans lobbyists were sharing a platform with USA evangelicals.
Brennan, witnessed UK campaigners standing on the steps of the supreme court, in support of anti LGB legislation. She called it out:

This isn't just a couple of UK anti trans lobbyists standing on the steps cheering from sidelines. They are ingrained within the USA anti LGBTI case. UK lobby groups including transgendertrend, fairplay, womensplace cited multiple times in the briefings
