OK so @jk_rowling has come out as a full TERF and is gaslighting everyone that doesn't understand what has been going on.

"Forcing women out of their jobs for stating that sex is real" is a false narrative at best, in reality is an outright lie.

Let me explain ...

Her Employer: We are not renewing your contract
Maya: WTF? WHY?
Her Employer: The hatred you post online & campaign for is against our values as a charity, we don't want to be associated with bigotry
Maya: I WILL TAKE YOU TO COURT

@jk_rowling Maya at this stage is taking to court the idea that to be a bigot against trans people should be protected in law

She stated this unequivocally

Let that sink in for a moment ...

The entire purpose of this court case was to validate anti trans hatred in the UK

@jk_rowling Let me be clear:

Maya was not fired

Her employer, a charity, no longer wanted to be associated with someone who was openly campaigning against a minority in the UK. Her employer chose not to renew her contract.

She was not 'forced out' as @jk_rowling said.

@jk_rowling The UK courts took a very dim view on Maya's TERF bigotry, concluding that her views were, in the courts own words:

"not worthy of respect in a democratic society."

@jk_rowling So Maya, a hate campaigner against trans people, had her views stated as unworthy in court

She spectacularly lost her court case

Trans rights were upheld in the UK & trans hatred has again been proven not to be allowed in law

Now we arrive back at @jk_rowling

@jk_rowling @jk_rowling follows a few TERF accounts
Has retweeted and liked posts by TERFs

She has been low key TERF for years now, just Google "JK Rowling TERF" for many results

Instead of self introspection and learning Rowling went the other way, she doubled down...

@jk_rowling I cannot claim to know what is in @jk_rowling's mind but:

- Rowling moves in TERF circles
- Maya's court case was stated as an attempt to legitimise trans hatred via the courts
- Maya loses
- Rowling then uses her massive twitter account to support Maya in a very public manner

@jk_rowling That is the timeline and the facts

If you continue to support @jk_rowling above trans people after learning all this ... well, you have some soul searching to do

I cannot convince you not to be a TERF, only you can do that

@jk_rowling Here's how to still like Harry Potter but not support @jk_rowling:

Do not use Pottermore

Do not buy anything HP related new. Buy books, DVDs and so on second hand

Do not go to HP related movies in the cinema, wait for them to come to streaming

@jk_rowling Yes, you can still like Harry Potter even knowing @jk_rowling is a TERF, but:

You need to view EVERYTHING she does as the actions of a TERF

You need to be openly critical of her and call her out on her anti-trans views

Do not financially support the HP franchise

@jk_rowling Note that many actors and others in the HP franchise are not anti-trans, and very openly support trans women. Like the amazing @EmmaWatson

99% of the people that are RT this and talking to me in DMs and mentions are supporting trans rights
