PM Narendra Modi along with all the sanghis of the nation have been trying so hard to associate the ongoing protests against CAA+NRC to a particular religious group. Social Media handles from the cowbelt have been spreading false information through their pages.
Implying that the Sabarimala protests by 'Hindus' were so peaceful unlike the ongoing protests by 'Muslims'. One thing to be noted here is that no kind of violence have been reported from non BJP ruled states like Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu or Kerala.
Public firings, killings and massive destruction of public properties all took place in Karnataka, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh where the police is being controlled by BJP governments.
During the Sabarimala protest of 2018, Kerala State Road Transport Corporation alone had to endure a loss of around ₹1.25 crores. The BJP goons were so violent that their leaders too were supportive to their actions.
The state president publicly admitted that they were trying to take advantage of the golden opportunity they had in their hands.
Trying to pelt ladies with coconut, destroying vehicles, manhandling female journalists, hurling bombs at Police stations were all part of their so called 'peaceful protest'. Around 3000 protestors, or might i say 'perpetrators of violence', were arrested during this period.
They even went far and showcased their true colours and political ideology by showering casteist slurs against the Chief Minister of Kerala, Com: Pinarayi Vijayan.
The fight against CAA+NRC shouldn't be coloured as a protest by a single religion. This is our fight against the Sangh Parivar agenda of a Hindu nation. This is our struggle to uphold the constitution which promised us a secular country.
This is an outcry of the people who still believe in democracy and a unified India.
If the state thinks that they can divide and rule by colouring the protests as a single religion's or single party's they're wrong. We are all in this together and this is a war we are not ready to surrender.
