Can I urge any natural scientists/medics who would be willing to work on a short letter regarding the reality of biological sex and put their real name, discipline and (former) institution as a signatory to get in touch please.

Scientists saying ‘sex is a spectrum’ do not have any special understanding unavailable to those who disagree with this framing.

The standard binary framing has far more use and predictive power as a model. The exceptions utilised by Spectrummers (not a word) are all understood perfectly well within the standard binary model.

Exceptions that are entirely predictable within the standard binary model.

We could do with support.
Within whatever framework you view ‘sex’, I hope we can all agree that for almost all people it’s uncontroversial, even if others say differently. And it’s immutable - you can’t change sex.

So 1) You fail to recognise the difference between sex and gender. This isn't some new, millennial concept. Gender fluidity and trans people have literally existed for thousands of years.
So, from a sociological/psychological perspective, gender exists because it presents itself in human society and has done so for a while. So from your premise alone, I could throw out your argument. But I won't. Instead I will address why your "biology" argument is bad.
One way in which scientists categorise animals according yo sex is through the production of gametes. If you produce small gametes, you're male and if you produce large gametes, you're female. However, things like HRT stop the production of sex-specific gametes and blur the line.

When I first heard about trans people,I understood that being trans was about their biological sex. It was about their physical bodies which, ofc,they must alter&make to be however they wished in order to be free of the pain they were carrying.They weren’t making a claim about me
They were making one about about themselves. The only way I came into it even slightly was if they were Male, because then they were essentially saying “I wish I had been born female like you, and I’m going to take medicine and live my life as though I was”
In a free society that sounds very much like none of my business. Good luck to you.I hope it all works out.Except,the story has shifted so far from that&moved so conclusively away from it being about them into being so much about me (&all other women) that it has become untenable

This has left a sick feeling in my stomach, I have never thought of all the women & girls raped as 'convenient numbers'. Rape and sexual trauma as 'convenient' for an argument. To brush off the harm women and girls suffer, my gosh, heartless disregard. #IStandWithMaya
It's this idea that women and girls are just fodder, just collateral damage in servicing male wants. I am baffled at the carelessness over female lives, the shrug of disdain for people, women, who have their own needs. #IStandWithMaya
This, frankly, bizarre notion that males are at a higher risk of rape than females. Are you kidding me? Or the idea that rape of women and girls doesn't matter because some males are also at risk.
