It is vaguely disingenuous of CT to criticize hyper-politicization in the church when they helped nurture it.
In the last two decades they have not set a table of welcome for Christians of different opinions. I'm sorry to say this, but it is true. They have excluded many, unwilling to even recognize the faith bore by those who do not share their theology.

I'm very glad for CT standing up and speaking out against Trump.
I do, however, wish they were more forthcoming about how they've contributed to the problems of both flag and table bedeviling Christians in this country.

I'm grateful for good & for courage wherever and whenever they appear.
This, perhaps, is time for them to look at how they have wounded and divided the larger Christian family, not just their relationship w/other evangelicals. A reckoning of sorts?
