I’m aware he called. We spoke earlier that day about the urgency for the House to facilitate the concurrence on the #PoliceReformBill. He agreed on the need to prioritize this. He is not as vain as most of your colleagues with a selfish agenda without responsibility to society.
The learning point here is simple. The CP is simply doing his job and no one can talk him out of it should he decide to be intransigent. The case here is very clear but regardless we appealed. I won’t be as petty to start showing exchange of messages and counsel. End.
No doubt it is the responsibility of the Rt Hon Speaker @femigbaja to wade in on cases involving one of his colleagues but you all need to be reminded that the House is not a cult organization and he is not speaker just for the interest of his colleagues but the entire country.
We don’t need your acknowledgement nor value your praise. Learn from this ordeal that the @PoliceNG can’t be bullied by alleged honorables acting dishonorably. The law can not be further denigrated by people who should represent the people but care only about politics. #EndGoSlow
