Let me share some personal information, by first sharing this what I read,
“The Bible is never a weapon to use against others; it is a bridge for peacemakers.”

I was raised Catholic. I know the Bible and the Catechism forwards and backwards.

I had to attend Bible class in
week and on Sunday’s. I stopped practicing when I was a teenager when I saw how religion was used against others. The Bible was quoted to judge others, to use for hatred and bigotry. Particularly in a America. I’m an English immigrant. I was born in the U.K. and moved to
California at aged nine. I never experienced the hate in religion that I experienced in America. It was shocking to me. No one used the Bible correctly, it was cherry picked. I remember my priest, Fr Christopher saying to me that God does bless some people, but they are meant to
do good with those blessings. To help those that are less unfortunate. But he also said that when God blesses someone, that person attracts the attention of Satan. So he said the person that is blessed then has two powers working on him/her. God and Satan. If that person has gone
out and done good then they have listened to God. If they have gained wealth and used it unwisely, they have listened to Satan. My priest was a very wise and kind man. But even with his kindness, I found others in religion toxic. No love. No kindness. No compassion. Just hate.
Now we have people saying that Donald Trump is a chosen one. No he isn’t. He is an empty vessel. Greedy, enviable, lustful, slothful, glutton, prideful and wrathful. He preys on weak people with weak beliefs. He feeds people fear, hate and bigotry and they follow him, yet they
say they are Christians, but will attack good Christians that point out his corruption and crimes. Therefore they are choosing Trump and not God. You can see fake Christians when they attack Pope Francis. A Pope that highlights the inequalities of the world. The poor, the needy,
the sick. Yet they call him a liberal Pope, just because he wants to do the things that Jesus actually did. As a child I saw so much goodness in the Bible, its message of love, but false people, hateful people used it as a weapon. They chose to concentrate on the hate in the
Bible, not on the Love. It’s meant to be a test. Do you as a person CHOOSE to see the hate, or do you CHOOSE to see the love.
