When we see the final work of a builder or an artist, we are often seeing the final results. Masked are the things thrown away or hidden because they weren’t proud of it. The inspiration we feel with the final work often lacks the perspective & discipline it takes to get there.
It's *normal* that founders have usually built 4-5 complete failures (often each taking 6-12 mo each) before "haphazardly stumbling" across an idea that finally works.
A music artist is often nearing a thousand "okay" songs before they make a song that gets 1M plays.

- A Wikipedia for opinions (like Quora) (2008)
- A lot of facebook apps (2008)
- A Zynga-style game (2009)
They all failed.
