Average MO of a Nigerian.
🔴We steal from eachother but don't want to be called a thief.
🔴We're very religious. We believe that going to churches/mosques attracts financial blessings not necessarily 'cos we love God.
🔴We're hypocrites. We openly condemn what we do in private.
🔴 We're overtly tribalistic. We'd rather give it to our incompetent tribesman, than a more competent non tribesman.
🔴We respect & worship wealth however it's made. No one questions the source of wealth. Just have it & flaunt it!
🔴We believe that public service is opportunity for self-enrichment. We knowingly or unknowingly put pressure on holders of public office based on this adverse mentality.
🔴We don't hold public officers to account cos we don't believe in the process that brought them to office.
🔴We are loud & flamboyant. We love to show off. We flaunt our riches to announce that 'we've arrived' & intimidate the less financially endowed.
🔴 We're materialistic. Everything is viewed in terms of material benefits derivable therefrom, even amorous relationships!
🔴We're very corrupt. This can never be over emphasized. All aspects of our national life has been perverted by corruption. Even our religious bodies.
🔴We're very superstitious. We believe in powers of witchcraft & the occult. We check almost stuff from spiritual perspectives.
🔴We love enjoyment. We love parties, clubs get togethers. We can borrow to celebrate stuff. We're that addicted to parties!
🔴 We're cowards. We love life. We don't explore, or agitate. We hardly protest. We don't endanger our lives. Why dictatorship easily thrives on our land.
🔴 We lack patriotism. We don't love Nigeria. Many don't even believe in the concept of Nigerian nationhood. They believe that Nigeria has failed them. Allegiance is more to tribe, state of origin & religious affiliation instead.
🔴 What keeps the average Nigerian going is the dream of sudden wealth. Dream to 'Hammer' one day. To 'arrive'. This without recourse to the legality or otherwise of the transaction that brings the wealth. Many patronise churches, mosques, spiritual houses for this to come true.
