How trivial of a life must those of you lead when your only focus when it comes to the presidency is voting for a woman because "we need a woman". How privileged of a life you must lead where the main thing that matters is if the person sitting in the seat is male or female.
I'm not going to lie, I wish my life was so great that the only thing that riled me up was getting a woman in office. I wish I didn't have to worry about things such as housing, health care, student debt, clean water, living wages, endless wars, etc. How does it feel?
Seriously, how does it feel to only be concerned about getting a woman in office? Not having to worry about how you're going to feed your child, pay for college, get out of debt, pay for your prescriptions or worry about how you're going to afford medical bills/cost of surgery.
I don't think those of you who only focus on the sex/gender of who's in office give a fuck about poor people, BIPOC, the issue of criminal justice reform or anything else of substance. You can't if the only qualification is "Can we just elect a woman already?"
Every damn time I see ya'll scream "No more old white men" then champion a old white woman I be like, for real? Is that all that matters to you? I honestly don't give a shit about anything other than policy, their willingness to fight for and their history with those policies.
I really don't think ya'll see how bad that looks. "No more old white dudes" as if white women have a legitimate history of actually fighting for the downtrodden or oppressed. As if white women don't uphold white supremacy. The majority white women voted for Trump in 2016.
White women will not save us from Trump. We cannot vote our way out of this mess and while voting for Warren over Trump is a no brainer, let's not act like that woman is going to bring any sort of big structural change. Stop lying to yourself.
Warren supporters don't irk me enough to not vote for Warren if it were her vs Trump. How anyone can say "I would vote for Bernie but his "bro's were mean to me online" is a legitimate reason. STFUWTBS. Get better lines, those are tired played. Also, we know you're lying.
If I don't vote for Warren it's due to her and her alone. Not her supporters. It'll be due to her weak policies, weak surrogates with their tired ass 2016 recycled Hillary lines, her inability to withstand criticism and her not wanting to cancel student debt, give me M4A. Das it.
