I will never forget the headlines in 2016 saying Bernie couldn’t win because he has a problem with black voters. Those same people are now pushing candidates that have zero black support for 2020. While saying Bernie is “too urban”. You can’t make this shit up. 😂😂
The 2020 field is so damn problematic and no one is really talking about it because Trump is president. I forgot who initially tweeted about Trump winning in 2016 meant Dems were gonna go full racist to win in 2020. That person deserves a medal. They were right.
I mean if you just take a moment to break down the “top tier” candidates, whew chile, there’s a gold mine of possible thesis papers on the pathology of the white liberal class and their racism problem.
I mean, every single one of them have issues. From Joe “Jim Crow” Biden, to Elizabeth “I lied about being Native” Warren, to Pete “Black people are homophobic” Buttigieg and Kamala “cop” Harris. The field is thick with problematic racism and entitlement.
The “Bernie Bro” narrative is tired and burned out when you’re pushing these top tier candidates. Which, by the way was a reused racist trope Hillary used against Obama in 2007 with Obama Boys. She repurposed it for Bernie, completely erasing his support from Women and BIPOC.

Quick Thread: I’m on my way to Norfolk State for a Graduate Fair (It’s today from 11-2pm at the Lyman Beecher Brooks Library if any students come by this thread) and I’ve got some feelings about this GLADD dustup that Bernie missed to attend Bennett College to speak with students
First, let me admit my bias, part of what I do for a living is recruit students to attend graduate school. I personally like to focus on underrepresented minorities and poor/working class people. Mainly because as poor people we aren’t aware of the many assistantships, etc
There are soooo many graduate programs out there that offer full tuition, pay stipends, and cover health insurance for graduate students. Yes, those getting their MA, MS, and PhD. Hit me up if you’ve got questions on that. Anywho my concerns 👇🏽

I don’t know who’s advising Warren, but laying out all these plans with little to no history of fighting for them before running for president isn’t a good look. It seems disingenuous and fake af. Why haven’t you written any legislation for these plans before now @ewarren
It’s puzzling to me that a senator who’s been in office since 2012 waits until now to have all these big plans and roll outs. Some of these plans are great, but where is the fight for them before now? How am I to believe these plans will become bills or laws?
Honestly, she should have focused on her economic strengths and made that her campaign focus. She’s got credibility in that arena. The economy isn’t all that great and the tax scam has hurt many. That campaign focus would have been clutch.

If nothing else, Trump being president has exposed both republicans and democrats. While everyone is playing team sports I’m remembering when Trump was a democrat 5yrs ago. He hung out with and donated to ya faves. It’s hard to believe he JUST now became a racist asshat.
Trump is who he’s always been. It was acceptable because he was on “your team”. Trump has exposed everyone, because the truth is, no one in power really gives a fuck about poor people. It’s all one big club and we aint in it.
10yrs from now, once Trump leaves office and time passes. He’ll go on Ellen, do a jig, look “respectable” hanging with the other former presidents and power elites, all this will be swept under the rug and everyone will pretend this is was just another low point in our history.

Depends if you're selling it as a book.

If you're running a site and it's a trigger purchase (so <$10), then short in terms of new content (for the sake of your workload.)

Doesn't mean short in actual length necessarily - we'll come back to that.

Most business to customer businesses will expect a book if you're selling them a book.

So, if you're working with a fitness guy and selling a book, it's 100-200 pages.

Customers expecting a book will feel shortchanged with 20 pages.

funny how in Chicago where intracommunity violence is actually very much bound up with untreated trauma, depression and PTSD no one ever says shooters were mentally ill. it’s an ableist red herring used to conveniently absolve white supremacists while also reinforcing stigma.
AND our country truly does not assist or support or uplift or legitimize folks who are really struggling with mental health. It’s actually the worst of all possible worlds. Remarkable.
It’s a sick joke to use “mental illness” to IMMEDIATELY, with no evidence, write off the actions of people who have made their white supremacist ideologies abundantly clear WHILE ALSO living in this country where folks desperately seeking care struggle to find it AND face stigma.

As you guys know, I was banned from coaching little league after I was doxed last year. I had lead my son's teams for 12 seasons.

The loss was devastating for both of us.

We used that special time to see each other more, as I am divorced.

Here's an (amazing) update:
First off all, they told me I was banned the night before his 11 year old try out. He didn't get the news until 1030PM that night. It was rough.

But the next day, I took him there and we both held our head's high.

He performed well and was a high draft pick.
Then this year is his 12 year old season. His last and final little league year. The year he has a chance to go to the Little League World Series.

To say that he (and I) were excited for this season is an understatement.

We'd talked about it since he was 5 years old.

My mum worked as a nurse for years.
Many nights she was not around.

I’m not going to join anyone to cry online that she didn’t sing me lullabies or bedtime stories. Because I knew on many nights that Mummy had to work.

I was not daft as a child.
I will not be daft as an adult.
Your dad is a soldier.
His work entails that he is posted to many different states at different times.

Despite this, he made sure that the unstable nature of his job never affected your education or anything whatsoever.

But you are angry Daddy didn’t drop us at school everyday.
Your mum is a banker.
She has to wake up everyday by 5am just to beat Lagos traffic.
She needs to work because Daddy lost his job at some point.

You know all this.
But your biggest anger is that Mummy never used to bathe for me every morning.
