An interesting thing I've observed: My conservative friends absolutely FREAK out about Warren, but don't freak out much about Bernie.

Why? Because they perceive Warren as a "woke" or "idpol" candidate. And they're much more scared of "wokeness" than they are of socialism.
"Bernie as culture-war moderate" seems like a low-key, underrated narrative in the story of his rise.
Of course I could go off on a whole rant about how America's actually a really rich country so material concerns aren't nearly as salient to people as 40 years ago so the culture war left seems instinctively more radical and scary than the socialist left...

...but I'll hold off.
Anyway once the general election gets going, I'm sure the GOP will start trying their hardest to paint Bernie as the Candidate of Wokeness (they did a similar thing to McGovern). We'll see if that sticks, I guess.
