1) Montreal based Canadian global IT consulting firm CGI, has announced that it would hire 15,000 in India in the next five years. Those in IT service delivery jobs, can start looking into this huge opportunity in India soon.

2) Bengaluru based IT giant WIPRO, which has 1,87,318 on rolls already, is going to hire 12,000 from campuses in 2020-21 financial year.

3) Beijing, China based Xiaomi says, it has generated employment for 50,000 people in India.
4) India saw 4,750,00,00,000 e-transactions in 2019, till Nov. Hence eSecurity is booming. In 2019 it was worth ₹13,987,00,00,000.

Projection for 2020 is ₹21,655,00,00,000. If you are in cyber security field, rejoice. Lots of new job opportunities coming your way.

Today is #Sankranti. A day special for Sun worshipping communities of India. Featuring some special Sun temples:

1) Sun temple of Jhalarapatan, Rajasthan.
1000+ year old.
Architecture similar to Konark.
7 horse Surya Ratha.
96 feet tall Shikhara.
Had a golden Surya till 1857.
#Sankranti:
2) Dakshinarka Surya temple in Gaya, Bihar. Built 700+ years ago by King Pratapa Rudra from today's Telangana.

It has Dakshina Manasarovar or Surya Kunda in front of the east facing temple.

Magadha Empire was always famous historically for Sun worshiping population.
3) #Sankranti:

Martanda Sun temple in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. This 1200+ year old magnificent Sun temple was destroyed 500+ years ago by invaders.

You could see most of Kashmir valley from here.
220 ft long & 142 ft wide temple.
84 smaller temples around.
Today in ruins.

Some interesting finding from #IndiaSkills Report 2020:

1) Employability has improved in India over the past six years. From 33.95% in 2014 to 46.21% in 2020.

2) In 2020, Banking & Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI), BPO, KPO, ITeS and Internet business are hiring the most.
3) Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Dilli would see the maximum job hiring in 2020.

4) Maharashtra, TN & UP will supply the most employable talent in 2020.

5) Women candidates are seeing 47% employability in India now, compared to male candidates at 46%.
6) India’s formally trained workforce is just 2.3%. South Korea's is 96%. #SkillIndia needs a boost.

7) For both males and female interns, Bengaluru is the most preferred city.

8) 56% of employers expressed a positive hiring intent for 2020.

Intersections are where most of the conflicts happen between people on bikes and people driving cars. Naturally it makes sense then to put the bike markings in the intersections and in front of driveways to notify drivers to expect to see bikes. #Montreal
But of course bike stencils aren't nearly enough, you need a network protected bike lanes. Here is an example of planted medians separating bikes from cars which are far more beautiful and safer than flex posts.
I've been questioned by a fair amount of people over the years on how pedestrians are supposed to walk across a protected bike lane. Here's a good example - raise the bike lane to curb level, paint a x-walk

#India: HAL pitches for 4 more squadrons of Su-30MKI. HAL is hopeful an additional order will make sure its Sukhoi manufacturing plant in Nasik does not fall idle. IAF is only looking at an order of 8-10 more of the jets to make up for accident losses economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/defence/h…
The proposal for manufacturing 72 more fighter jets to add to the current order for 272 was made by the HAL but officials said that the air force has not been keen due to budgetary issues.
HAL is hopeful that an order for at least 10 additional aircraft is placed this year so that its Sukhoi manufacturing plant in Nasik does not fall idle.

Especially in the 1990s, both BBC and CNN competed with each other to label those as ‘freedom fighters’ who had just months ago committed genocide against the Pandit in Kashmir valley. What such media were championing was the freedom of extremist elements to kill innocent people.
To this day, the destruction of nearly 300 places of worship in Kashmir has gone not only unpunished but ignored by successive governments, with not a single individual even charge-sheeted for the offence.

The so-called Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was unused for prayer by the Shia community for decades. When it was destroyed in 1992 by an out-of-control assembly of activists, an international uproar ensued.
Media in the US and Europe had almost entirely greeted with silence the forcible reduction of the Hindu minority in Pakistan from 38 per cent to less than 1 per cent since 1947, or the killings on an industrial scale of Hindus in Bangladesh since 1971.

Breaking: Large terrorist attack in #India. More than 40 Indian Reserve Police Force personnel were killed and many others injured when Pakistani backed terrorists targeted a convoy with a car bomb at Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir's today, ndtv.com/india-news/15-…
Reports suggested that the vehicle used by the terrorists was a Mahindra Scorpio carrying more than 350 kg of explosives in what is the worst attack ever on security personnel in the state.
Sources said that terrorists triggered the car bomb while 78 vehicles with over 2,500 reserve police men were on the Srinagar-Jammu highway. The stretch on which the incident occurred had been sanitized in the morning & authorities called it a serious breach of security.
