Today is #Sankranti. A day special for Sun worshipping communities of India. Featuring some special Sun temples:

1) Sun temple of Jhalarapatan, Rajasthan.
1000+ year old.
Architecture similar to Konark.
7 horse Surya Ratha.
96 feet tall Shikhara.
Had a golden Surya till 1857. Image

2) Dakshinarka Surya temple in Gaya, Bihar. Built 700+ years ago by King Pratapa Rudra from today's Telangana.

It has Dakshina Manasarovar or Surya Kunda in front of the east facing temple.

Magadha Empire was always famous historically for Sun worshiping population. Image
3) #Sankranti:

Martanda Sun temple in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. This 1200+ year old magnificent Sun temple was destroyed 500+ years ago by invaders.

You could see most of Kashmir valley from here.
220 ft long & 142 ft wide temple.
84 smaller temples around.

Some interesting finding from #IndiaSkills Report 2020:

1) Employability has improved in India over the past six years. From 33.95% in 2014 to 46.21% in 2020.

2) In 2020, Banking & Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI), BPO, KPO, ITeS and Internet business are hiring the most. Image
3) Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Dilli would see the maximum job hiring in 2020.

4) Maharashtra, TN & UP will supply the most employable talent in 2020.

5) Women candidates are seeing 47% employability in India now, compared to male candidates at 46%. Image
6) India’s formally trained workforce is just 2.3%. South Korea's is 96%. #SkillIndia needs a boost.

7) For both males and female interns, Bengaluru is the most preferred city.

8) 56% of employers expressed a positive hiring intent for 2020.

1) I have seen a lot of #Leftists in my real life. Some claim to be liberals, rationalists, progressive etc.. But if you scratch the surface, they are also Leftists on many key issues.

Here are my thoughts on their effect on gullible youth.
2) The whole purpose of #Leftists is to grab power by provoking innocent youth. Resist, Occupy, revolution, fight fascism, save democracy, save Constitution etc.. are just for show off.

In reality, 90% of young followers end up as failures by age 35 or 40.
3) Slogans and protests don't feed your family. They don't pay for your mother's kidney or heart ailment bill. They don't send kids to good schools. They don't pay EMIs.

All the "revolutionary" slogans and thoughts are just feel good things like a movie fight scene. But useless

Haven't seen #Chhapaak. But hope it highlights KEY issues of #acid violence in India:
1) No control on its sale & distribution.
2) It's cheap & available everywhere.
3) Police often don't take action.
4) Hospitals refuse victims.
5) No medical or monetary compensation for victims

3/ Acid survivor #LaxmiAgarwal on whose life Film #Chhappak is based on, lives in desperate poverty. In Sept 2018, she was on the verge of being evicted from her room with her baby. She had only Rs5000/- and does not get paid for any show she's invited to.

India is cutting the corporate tax rate to 25.2% from 30%. This is to promote growth and investment.

India to allow local companies to pay income tax at 22% . The new effective rate on new manufacturing companies is 17.01%.

All part of the strategy to avoid the 5% growth trend
Indonesia is planning to cut taxes to 20% from 25% starting 2021. Both Indonesia and India are slashing tax rates to be more competitive. This is in response to entice investors to come to those countries & also to stay. @Trinhnomics stated that US tax reform'll push for this too

Its clear that #Pakistan plans a massive insurgency campaign on steroids against #India that would be backed by the military. India's response should be to retaliate with even greater force so that Pak has to pay an unbearable price for each of its actions.
Such situation would be close to full out war in the Kashmir region and can easily escalate into a full war.
#Pakistan is actually playing into #India's game. Pak's insurgency & supportive military actions will show Pak as the aggressor and India's retake of Pak occupied Kashmir in retaliation for such actions will be totally accepted. India already gamed the whole scenario.
