OPCW only reported analyses for 33 out of 86 site samples. Why??!?? The list of samples is in Annex 9 Table A9.3: the first 86 are site samples. Analyses of only 33 site samples are in Annex 5. Information can be matched by sample ID.
2/ here's first page from Annex 9 list, highlighting samples from Location 2 (cylinder on balcony) for which OPCW didn't report analysis. @beyondpartypolt has pointed out that exposed electrical wires #27 would be affected by Cl gas, but apparently weren't.
@beyondpartypolt 3/ at lcation 4 (bedroom cylinder), analyses for only 9 of 20 samples were reported. Unreported included information from exposed copper wire - as observed by @beyondpartypolt.
@beyondpartypolt 4/ all these missing analyses make no sense whatever. 20 analyses were already in the June 2018 Draft Report, which was ready by around June 10, 2018, within ~45 days of mobilization. After 9 more months, Final Report only had 13 additional analyses.
@beyondpartypolt 5/ the Final Report had 6 additional analyses for Location 2, one on cylinder, 5 on rooms. None of the additional room analyses reported any chlorine indicators.
@beyondpartypolt 6/ di- and tri- chloroacetic acid is present in chlorinated drinking water and in surface waters in US and other countries. Damascus drinking water was chlorinated at origin reservoir. I presume that Douma was getting water from wells in Damascus water table and
@beyondpartypolt 7/ prior to conflict, had received same chlorinated tap water as Damascus. How can one diagnose anything from mere presence of *-chloroacetic acid without control samples from other areas of Douma? Why didn't OPCW report such control samples?
