re: what im always talking about. marsha blackburn is calling on the senators running for president to recuse themselves from the impeachment trial. this has no basis in reality and is laughable. but she just throws it out and says, "why not?" and conservative media covers. 
democrats should always be trying things like this instead of bunkering down, afraid to say *anything* out of fear that it could be weaponized against them (when it will anyway). just speak up, say something. try something, anything.
like if i were a member of congress, id be pumping out releases saying things like "trump must give up his power as commander-in-chief because it puts our troops in harm's way to have an impeached president leading them while they're under fire in the battle field." something!
the democratic mindset is that everything always has to work, and that leads to a strategy where you only take a shot you're sure will hit. republicans just take all the shots.
