I don't agree that social media incentivizes only the bad behavior - but it does incentivize *extreme* behavior - both bad and good. One top YouTuber goes around giving cash away to people. Others play cruel pranks.

It goes both ways, abd a huge part of social media...
...are daily interactions that get no press and make no money for anyone (other than the media company). The simple catching-up with friends, support on a bad day, the catching of early red flags of depression or suicidal thoughts in young people by their family and peers...
So while I agree on how brands (incl personal brands) are incentivized to extremism (which can be super dangerous), I don't think we can say this represents social media overall.
