I have vowed this year to make sure I focus a little bit more on my mental health & one of the ways I am doing that is by trying to embrace / enjoy the natural world; to give me a little push in doing that I am trying to post daily observations to @inaturalist #DailyiNat 1/n
So far I have done this 1/1 - 1/20 - see my @inaturalist Calendar here inaturalist.org/calendar/phylo… but I did run into a challenge last week - I got summoned for jury duty and ended up being selected as an alternate juror - trial still ongoing #DailyiNat 2/n
Although this made getting out a bit complicated but I did pull it off - Monday was easy - told in AM we had day off & had to come back Tu so, since I had cleared out schedule & worked all day Saturday and Sunday I took off for a few hours inaturalist.org/calendar/phylo… #DailyiNat 3/n
Tuesday I managed to get out for an outing during lunch break to @cachecreekcnsrv which was really nice #DailyiNat 4/n inaturalist.org/calendar/phylo…
Wednesday I did a phone interview with a reporter early AM and went to a few local birding spots for a few pictures while doing the interview inaturalist.org/calendar/phylo… #DailyiNat 5/n
Thursday I only managed to get out briefly on the way to / from jury duty inaturalist.org/calendar/phylo… but did mange to see some cool things including a Prairie Falcon #DailyiNat inaturalist.org/observations/3… 6/n
And Friday I got back to @cachecreekcnsrv for a nice outing and also a few stops on the way to / from jury duty #DailyiNat inaturalist.org/calendar/phylo… 7/n
So while jury duty was intense, and I did end up working when I got home to try and keep up with various work things, getting out every day even briefly was so so so beneficial #DailyiNat 8/n
