Two groups aligned with Mitch McConnell raised $68.3 million in 2019. Both are run out of the same office, by the same people, and both spend big in elections. But only one of the groups has to disclose its donors.

1/ You know what's funny? I also can't think of a single instance where Trump has expressed sincere concern about corruption, but I can think of loads of times he's done the opposite.

one of the most simultaneously frustrating and gratifying things about working on housing laws:

even after they’re formally out of your hands and into the wild - 2 years and counting on SB 35! - random people still reach out *every day* with questions about how to use it
today, I had a conversation with someone trying to build 60 affordable housing units in the Sacramento region, close to a transit station

their traditional application has been stalled for a year in ~the process~
after this person learned that SB 35 guarantees a 30 day approval and waives parking requirements... they want to pivot and use SB 35 to get the damn thing built!
