THREAD: Reminder: Trump didn't just demand an investigation into the Bidens. He also wanted an investigation into the debunked, Kremlin-backed CrowdStrike conspiracy theory.
Aside from a few oblique references, Trump's lawyers basically wouldn't touch it.
Why? Because they know it's been repeatedly debunked, and they know it's Russian propaganda. The CrowdStrike conspiracy theory is indefensible.
And that shows why Trump's behavior is so indefensible.

You can't actually separate the two conspiracy theories. They're part of one master conspiracy theory, pushed by Giuliani and the rest of the BLT Team, about how Trump's illegitimate opponents illegally plotted to undermine his presidency.

Incredible. Arizona Republican Gov. Doug Ducey will elevate Bill Montgomery, one of America's most reactionary prosecutors, to the state Supreme Court. An absolute nightmare for equal justice in Arizona.

To elevate Montgomery, Ducey added two seats to the Arizona Supreme Court, then replaced Montgomery's opponents on the judicial nominating commission with conservative allies. Ducey has spent years laying the groundwork for this moment.
Just to repeat: A Republican governor added seats to his state Supreme Court so he could appoint more Republican judges. Then he replaced every Democrat on the judicial nominating commission with Republicans and GOP-allied "independents" so he could put Montgomery on the court.

First, let's get out of the way that any Democratic nominee HAS to put Florida in play. Why? Because if we cede the 3rd largest state in country to the Republican candidate, suddenly their time & dollars can be spent elsewhere, and the down-ballot effects would be awful 2/
