More evidence that the popular 'racial resentment' scale is more a measure of intersectional wokeness than anti-black animus

(note the only groups that reach negative ratings in the entire graph)
For those that suffered a brain aneurysm from trying to decipher the first graph, here is a second attempt

Both the most and least 'racially resentful' respondents are similarly warm towards blacks and Hispanics christs (in fact, (the 'most resentful' are even slightly warmer towards blacks). The biggest diff is that the least resentful rate whites in the negative.

1/n How often do police officers use excessive force? White liberals (35%) more likely to think 'most of/all the time', while white conservatives (63%) are more likely to think 'rarely'.
2/n There's also some evidence that those, especially white respondents, who use YouTube multiple times a day are significantly more likely to think 'most of/all the time' (16%->27%) while significantly less likely to think 'never/rarely' (45%->30%).
3/n Who's correct? I'm not exactly sure. But, given millions of police encounters every year, I hazard to say it's not in 'most' or 'all' of them.

I have some modicum of self-restraint, so I've avoided this A+ bait @jamesnewburg sent my way. I do have a few quick thoughts, though.

First off, this could all be very real and that'd be exciting. Some Whites becoming more racially liberal is a good thing.
@jamesnewburg First off, it is neither necessary nor convincing to say that White liberals are more racially progressive than Blacks, particularly if your only evidence is response to racial resentment questions. Also, be sure to read Kam and Burgess (2017) journals.uchicago.edu/doi/pdfplus/10…
Are White liberals, for example, more supportive of policies like reparations than Blacks? What about affirmative action and other explicit racial programs? What about various economic policies that are implicitly racialized?

- “racially conservative” is authors’ term & in common academic usage, not mine or new
- 1 conclusion of near-30-year academic debate about what racial resentment items (in image above) measure is that views of racial group disadvantage are now integrated in conventional ideology

1- Taking a deep dive into the Communauté métisse du Domaine-du-Roy et de la Seigneurie de Mingan (CM) this am, the first self-declared “métis” org to file a court case post-Powley. That case reached the QC Court of Appeal in May 2017. Waiting for decision any day.
2- CM’s origins in January 2005 were in anti-Innu and white rights activism. They’ve left a LOT of traces, including in the 31 interviews (2007) with its founders that it submitted in the court case.
3- What’s clear through member oral histories conducted by a sympathetic anthropologist for the purpose of “proving” their claim is that these folks came to work together as white rights activists first and foremost.
