The prosecutors who once considered Sammy "The Bull" Gravano a mafia hitman now want to hear his testimony about his boss John Gotti??

Totally upside-down world, prosecutors. Which is it? Is he a gangster enforcer, or a valuable mob witness?
These media figures understand how witnesses work and how cases are built.

Casual consumers of popular movies and TV shows get this.

To suddenly not understand it has to be seen as a deliberate attempt to deflect.
An "upside down world" would be if Democrats wanted John Bolton to be National Security Advisor.

Democrats wanting him to testify under oath is completely normal and consistent.

They want TRUMP to testify under oath.

This persistent framing is such obvious nonsense.

If Trump is acquitted it’s either: beat him in an election he’s rigged in his favor or else take to the streets by the 10s of millions.

The only way to beat him in his rigged election is to reject any and every reason, presented by any media source, not to vote for his opponent
Because Trump has argued a president’s right to commit any crimes he deems necessary in order to cheat the election, any election with a result benefiting him logically must be assumed the result of a criminal cheat.

THAT is the reality Senate Republicans will vote to establish.
According to the argument his lawyers made on the Senate floor? By any means within his vast power that he deems necessary.

He didn't do it—so much so, we shouldn't talk to anybody who was around him at the time, and also so what if he did it, he can do it if he wants to, he can do whatever he wants, if you keep talking about him we'll go after you for doing it, that thing which is perfectly OK to do.
It's so hateful to say he did the thing he didn't do AT ALL, which sworn witnesses said he did do, which he did in a truncated transcript he released, which we've seen him literally do on television several times, how dare you persecute him for that thing WHICH IS FINE TO DO.
It's so fine to do it, so perfectly justified, so absolutely OK, that we should absolutely not hear from anybody with firsthand accounts of him doing the perfectly OK thing WHICH HE DIDN'T DO but always remember that he CAN do it and it would be GREAT and he DIDN'T, how dare you

This may be the most shameless thing I’ve ever heard.
They aren’t trying to say he didn’t do it. They’re just trying to block documentary evidence and witnesses on the grounds that the president can break the law, any law, if he does it to win an election.

They’re fascists.
Honestly don’t know what you expect people to think of you if you’re so far gone you’ll vote for these thugs and gangsters.

They’re not even con men. They make their lies obvious to horrify you with their intentions.
