§428-107 Registered agent. A limited liability company and a foreign limited liability company authorized to transact business in this State shall continuously

(1) An individual who resides in this State;

(2) A domestic entity authorized to transact business in this State; or

A general thread about a group calling themselves NSW Volunteer Firefighter's Association.

They have been spreading the "greens to blame for fuel reduction" myth as well as claiming climate change has nothing to with increased fires.

Their motivations appear to be anti-science and they appear to be run by - well, who knows?

This group claims to represent volunteer fighters - only in NSW - but has no official membership numbers or any indication of any broad based support among firefighters outside their site
This opaque organisation was first registered as a private business in NSW in 2004.

They are not an incorporated not-for-profit in NSW, nor subject to those relevant regulations.

Nor are they a registered charity, per the ACNC.

They have no annual reports.

I keep thinking about how we begged for the millions, the elders in the streets. & no one came. Y’all didn’t come.
I keep thinking about the children who left school in Ferguson, slept in a shopping plaza parking lot, because they believed in justice. They asked y’all to join them in the streets. You didn’t come.
As an organizer, I know that we did our best. We fought w/out sleep. Without food. W/no money.

There were so few people coming in droves to protests. There were so few celebrities flying in to St. Louis, Baltimore, Atlanta, etc. So few elders willing to lay in the streets w/us.

Today marks what would have been the 100th birthday of noted phycologist Dr. Isabella Aiona Abbott.

She was the first Native Hawai’ian woman to earn a PhD in science and became a renowned expert on Pacific #algae.
Known as the "First Lady of Limu*", Abbott first started learning about edible seaweeds from her mother and spent hours collecting them from the beaches of Maui.

She even wrote a book about how to cook seaweeds!

*limu is Hawaiian for seaweed
She began teaching classes at Stanford’s Hopkins Marine Station in 1960.

She then went on to become the first female full professor in Stanford’s biology department, as well as the first minority full professor in 1972.
