Language is difficult to develop because it requires the simultaneous co-evolution of:
- Social structures & collaborative behavior
- Environmental complexity (technology, etc)
- Brain power
- Physical ability to transfer information over a high-bandwidth channel (e.g. voice)
Any of these things can become a bottleneck.

In fact, many unrelated species have developed forms of quasi-language, though nowhere near as advanced as that of humans, as they were bottlenecked by e.g. cognitive capabilities or environmental/social complexity.
This is also why the evolution of language is a very, very slow process. These factors are all interacting with each other, enabling or restricting the others -- a new factor becoming the new bottleneck whenever progress is made on one front. This is absolutely *co-evolution*.

One of the most ridiculously unserious ideas I've ever come across is that the "invention" of language is something that can be pinned to a specific point in time, in the very recent past (50k-70k years ago), and that it is what makes Homo Sapiens oh-so-special & superior
Language, culture, complex social structures, and advanced technology gradually co-evolved over *hundreds of thousands of years* (700+k), very slowly. And they were not exclusive to Homo Sapiens. Neanderthals, Denisovans (who diverged from Homo Sapiens 700k years ago) had them.
These furless apes were thriving in harsh environments where you wouldn't last 2 days -- how primitive do you think they were? We have archeological evidence that pre-humans were hunting big game in groups using wooden & stone weapons at least 400k yrs ago en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sch%C3%B6…

I encourage you to learn as much as you can today about the science of climate change, so that you will be able to understand the stakes, the possible timelines, and make sense of the successive phases you will live through.
It's the least you can do: educate yourself, and face the future with open eyes, a clear mind, and a sharp sight.

During the Chandrababu Govt, Amravati received political as well as financial patronage. Now, with Jagan Reddy being incharge of the state, the project is in shambles. World Bank & ADB pulled out of the project and the Government is looking for reasons to scrap it. 2/n
The bonds issued to support the financing needs of the project were subscribed by Franklin MF and Birla MF. The bonds are guaranteed by the AP Govt but it's not sure if the Govt would keep servicing the bonds. The risk of lending to a state govt has again come to the fore. 3/11

1. Two excellent articles by @garyyounge and @alexmassie on the plight of the “Windrush generation” of immigrants. They’ve been caught in a trap not meant for them. They are its collateral damage.
2. The trap is the anti-immigrant ratchet. Immigration is not a problem in the UK, only its perception is, and it’s a perception not related to reality.
