That unshed tears burned our eyes,
Those cries that got stuck in our throats,
And those times that peals of laughter rolled out of our mouths.
About our childhood days,
And the bitter and sweet memories
That will linger on forever.
About how we shed off
the garments of childishness,
And braced up to the realities of life.
About the promises we made but broke, the doors we knocked but couldn’t open, the things we strived for but did not get.
The goals we set but did not achieve, our dreams that went unfulfilled,
The things we want but we were not bold to go for.
About our relationships and friends,
The shoulders that we leaned on,
And the legs that used the exit
In the times of gloom and storms.
About the goodness of God,
How he never left us,
And his steadfast love
Despite our shortcomings,
And conquered the battles for us,
Then we will tell our children
How we stood on his promises,
And worshipped him faithfully,
How we prayed earnestly,
And he rewarded us abundantly.
About how we passed through fire to become Gold.
About how far we have come,
The mistakes we made,
And the lessons we learned.
Just one day.....
Over drinks and clinkin’ of glasses.
We will Talk!
