1. IMO the reason smart prosecutors are leaving the DOJ goes back to a U.S. Supreme Court case in 1976 that ruled that prosecutors cannot face civil lawsuits for prosecutorial abuses, no matter how severe. The rationale was that they are engaged in an independent
2. judicial function and should have judicial immunity. They are similar to judges in that prosecutors engage in an independent judicial function. That is not so under Barr where @TheJusticeDept is run by a Consigliere who takes orders from the crime family boss.
3. That's not a judicial function, it's a crime and can result in the loss of any civil prosecutorial immunity for every lawyer that touches a Trump tainted case. @WhiteHouse @FBIWFO @HouseJudiciary @SenateDems @RepJerryNadler @SenFeinstein
