Two years ago today, 17 students, teachers, & faculty members were killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. Today we remember, we mourn, & we honor their memory by fighting for gun safety policies to protect our children.
Two weeks ago, @RepHankJohnson & I introduced big, bold legislation that combines & builds upon Congress’s best gun safety proposals in one comprehensive bill to keep our schools & communities safer. I’m deeply grateful for @AMarch4OurLives' support of our #EndGunViolenceBill.
No student should have to fear going to school. No parent should have to fear their child won’t be coming home. Congress must show some political courage & stand up to the gun lobby so tragedies like Parkland never happen again.
