The discussion around trans issues keeps getting muddied by people who don't understand that sex and gender are two separate things.
One is biologically objective. One is personally subjective.
Having two sets of boxes to tick shouldn't be that difficult.

Let's use names (not based on objective criteria [unlike sex]) as an analogy for *gender*.
You have the right to decide how you see yourself, but not the right to control how I see you. BUT if you call yourself Bob, but I keep calling you Bill, you have the right to call me Dick.

I talk about trans issues because:
A) With a less than 1% de-transition rate & high suicide rate, they're therefore a persecuted minority group that's certain of their needs, so we all have a duty of support.
