The "I don't see colour/race" lot always remind me of a quote by that great philosopher Rachel Karen Green in response to when Ross says he doesn't think of money as an issue:
"That's because you have it!"

He's arguing that racism still exists mainly because the Right and Left talk about race, and that by not doing so, he's creating a post-racial society.
So by definition, he's aware that if you take yourself out of the discussion, (bury head in sand) racists will still be there.

Brendan O'neil twists the "I have a dream" speech into essentially:
"I have a dream that one day my children will be judged by the content of their character... and that even if many, including politicians, still judge them on the colour of their skin, I'll just stay quiet"
