It's not an "oops," these people are just throwing whatever shit they can at the walls because they know at least some of it will stick.
All these assholes think they're smart because they can lie to people and get away with it. Well, lying is easy. Destruction is easy. It doesn't take a lot of energy or brainpower. Telling the truth, building institutions, peacebuilding? Hard, and worthy.
I've never understood how gaslighters think they get away with it because they're somehow smarter than the rest of humanity. Communities survive using trust. That's easy to abuse, if you're cool with people hurting and dying because of it. These assholes are fine with it.
Because in the end, they're lazy and talentless fucks deserving nothing but contempt for everything they have chosen to be.
