While there are many platforms to set up an online store (Shopify, Etsy, Amazon), it's more challenging to access the supply chains that incumbent brands spent decades developing in-house.

Creating products in the first place is the hard part.
That's where @therealRoShow is stepping in - @ShopPietra is creating the easiest way for someone to design, create, and sell physical goods. Starting with jewelry, and going into beauty, home accessories, handbags, etc.

So excited for our investment in @RunTheWorld365, an online events platform. 🎉
It touches on a lot of things we've been thinking about with the Passion Economy and enabling creators/organizations to create and monetize events, share knowledge, and foster community.
With RTW, anyone can organize online events and enable people to form connections w/o physical constraints.

A decade ago, @kevin2kelly wrote a blog post positing that the internet would enable many more creators to make a living. By cutting out middlemen and directly monetizing fans, creators could earn meaningful income without massive fame.
The recipe: get 1,000 fans paying $100/yr.
The idea of making money from a modest fan base is more salient than ever, but I propose taking it a step further:

Creators need only 100 True Fans—not 1,000—paying them $1,000/year, to make a living.

Today, creators can effectively make more money off fewer fans.

If you don't know what setup.cfg is, it's the simplest, easiest most bulletproof way to make Python 3 packages.

Here is how you do it.
1 - Create a setup.py file containing a single line:

import setuptools; setuptools.setup()

It should be in the same dir as your importable lib. Not inside, not in a parent dir. Next to it.

Let's say your importable lib is called "cool_package". Now...
2 - Create also a setup.cfg containing your metadata. E.G:

[metadata]
name = cool_package
version = 0.0.1
description = "Cool"
long_description = "Super cool"

[options]
zip_safe = False
include_package_data = True
packages = find:
install_requires =
requests
flask

First the choices. I've tweeted this before, it's quite simply a border, Irish sea or land, or a close EU-UK relationship. This applies throughout different periods to which we may give different names e.g. backstop, implementation period, etc
Next the UK Gov has to have a realistic negotiating position of some sort. We'd like to hope that will come next week, one rather suspects it won't, as a real decision means some members of Cabinet probably have to resign as it will go against their core belief 3/
