Oh hell no.
It's one thing that Bloomberg bought his way into the debates. It's quite another that he's condescendingly trying to marginalize lifelong public servants who actually WORKED to be on the stage tonight.
And if Bloomberg thinks he can trick Biden supporters into his camp and let him leapfrog Sanders, he must think we're idiots. He has another thing coming.

If Biden goes, my next choice is Sanders. Thanks, Mike, for making that decision so easy.

Worth noting, the sample in WI looks a little odd. Republicans outnumber Democrats in the sample by 6 percentage points even though registration in the state is about even.

But even correcting for that, the race looks entirely winnable for Trump. Democrats need to step up there.
What makes WI so interesting in 2020 is, both parties have big pools of natural voters who didn't turn out in 2016.

For Ds, they did well in Dane but their turnout in MKE was awful.

For Rs, their rural turnout was ok but not maxed, and lots of ppl in WOW voted third party.
So it's not crazy to imagine scenarios where:

A) Rs boost rural turnout and do better with WOW voters, while Ds still sag in MKE, and Trump wins by 5 points, or

B) Ds kill it in MKE and Dane, Trump's turnout stays flat and Dems win by 5 points.

Both are possible!

This is a really bad analogy. We bred those animals to be commercially useful to humans, but often at the expense of their health, adaptability, and quality of life.

Which leads to the key question you're not answering: What does it mean, exactly, for eugenics to "work"?
I don't know of any scientist who disputes what Dawkins is saying here: we *physically could* genetically engineer humans with prodigious strength, speed, agility etc.

But that's not the important question. The question is, who decides what we should change about our genes?
The problem is that no change you make to the human genome will happen in a vacuum. Any "improvement" we could make will come with tradeoffs. Humans who could run at 40mph would need vastly more caloric intake, suffer greater skeletal and muscular damage, etc.

I've been screaming this at American far leftists for ages.

Indeed, America is *considerably to the left of Europe* on issues like LGBTQ rights and immigration. And many of Europe's left-parties are split on racial tolerance in a way ours aren't!
It's not even as simple as "Europe is to the left of us on economics and to the right of us on social issues."

For instance, "socialist" Scandinavia definitely has bigger individual taxes and social programs, but they have lower corporate taxes and laissez-faire regulation.
Some European countries are great on fighting climate change. Others are behind the curve.

Others are fantastic at safeguarding the right to unionize, while others suck.

The list goes on. Europe isn't a monolith. Just like U.S. states aren't a monolith.

It’s one thing to deplore eugenics on ideological, political, moral grounds. It’s quite another to conclude that it wouldn’t work in practice. Of course it would. It works for cows, horses, pigs, dogs & roses. Why on earth wouldn’t it work for humans? Facts ignore ideology.
For those determined to miss the point, I deplore the idea of a eugenic policy. I simply said deploring it doesn’t mean it wouldn’t work. Just as we breed cows to yield more milk, we could breed humans to run faster or jump higher. But heaven forbid that we should do it.
A eugenic policy would be bad. I’m combating the illogical step from “X would be bad” to “So X is impossible”. It would work in the same sense as it works for cows. Let’s fight it on moral grounds. Deny obvious scientific facts & we lose – or at best derail – the argument.

Tucker might be wrong about the rationale for Soleimani’s killing. But he is asking necessary questions. The US moved troops out of Syria...and into Iraq a few months ago. That’s going in the wrong direction. Twenty servicemen died in Afghanistan in 2019. Why?

When the PNG Navy opened fire on the #Manus refugees on Good Friday 2017, Peter Dutton brazenly lied and said that no one had been injured, only one weapon had been fired in the air and then insinuated that it had happened because a young boy had been lured into the camp.
For nearly a month the department maintained that “no one was injured” and that the Papua New Guinean military personnel had discharged only one weapon into the air during the incident.

I read through the New Zealand shooter's alleged manifesto so you don't have to. A lot of his positions line up with Duginism. He's an "ethno-nationalist" who claims to be an anti-imperialist eco-fascist, joining left and right in a populist "movement." /1
Firstly, the anti-imperialist stuff comes up in his lead-in graphic but doesn't really bear out in the text, of course. Like Dugin, he has a says he doesn't mind Muslims in their "own lands," but also says "we're coming for Constantinople" (i won't be posting screengrabs fyi). /2
The environmentalism part is really sparing and, again, seems like a weird addition to the basis of the manifesto, which is really about population growth rates and self-professed racism. He says the 14 words and admits being a fascist joining both right and left wings. /3
