I've taught @Tableau as my primary job for nearly 5 years. This thread lists my favorite online resources for those who know the basics.
(I'll also be launching my own online beginner class soon)

Always Be Googling. The answers to Tableau questions are often readily available.
#1 The Tableau Reference Guide from @HighVizAbility
Archives the best guides to Tableau topics online. If you want to stretch your skills in chart creation, color, calculations, advanced action types, etc. there will be a helpful blog posts listed here.

#2 Safe Fonts for Tableau Public by @MarkBradbourne
The large list of available fonts when you are formatting your charts is misleading. Restrict your @tableaupublic font choices (& probably for Server reports at work, too) to those listed here.

@MarkBradbourne @tableaupublic @j_olsufka The Ideas Forum from @Tableau

@MarkBradbourne @tableaupublic @j_olsufka @tableau Viz Gallery (& #VOTD) from @tableaupublic
Be inspired by others' creations. If you really like the style of a viz on Tableau Public, check out the author's archive (pic 1) or download the workbook to get the data and learn from dissecting calcs (pic 2).

@MarkBradbourne @tableaupublic @j_olsufka @tableau Financial Times Visual Vocabulary: Tableau Edition by @VizWizBI
Highly recommended for cycling through viz possibilities that can speak to particular data questions or types of analysis. Scroll to the bottom of the interactive version to find how-to links

@MarkBradbourne @tableaupublic @j_olsufka @tableau @VizWizBI 20 Uses for Level-of-Detail Calculations by @flerlagekr
LODs are quite a rabbit hole & a Tableau instructor can only hope to convey the basics then hope students will get a more nuanced understanding through use cases. That's where Ken's resource comes in:
@MarkBradbourne @tableaupublic @j_olsufka @tableau @VizWizBI @flerlagekr On to the community initiatives!
Tableau authors should at least browse others' #MakeoverMonday submissions from time to time as a way to practice data viz critical thinking.
Even better: download data & participate yourself as often as possible.

@MarkBradbourne @tableaupublic @j_olsufka @tableau @VizWizBI @flerlagekr When you're ready to really push your technical skills, level up to #WOW2020.
True experts challenge you to recreate bespoke viz &/or charts requiring difficult, practical calculations. Daunting at first, but you improve yourself through tough exercise.

@MarkBradbourne @tableaupublic @j_olsufka @tableau @VizWizBI @flerlagekr If you're like me, #SportsVizSunday is almost unavoidable.
Interesting datasets released every month on different topics. Find one that interests you and play.

@MarkBradbourne @tableaupublic @j_olsufka @tableau @VizWizBI @flerlagekr I can't recommend strongly enough that every @Tableau author study Order of Operations, especially when using a lot of filters and/or advanced calculations or sets.
The screenshot below is from @flerlagekr's LOD post I linked above. I put it here to reinforce its importance.
@MarkBradbourne @tableaupublic @j_olsufka @tableau @VizWizBI @flerlagekr Table Calculations Overview by @VizWizBI
Simple, but hugely-important, translation of the Edit Table Calculation menu to plain English.
