I’m not defending those left Twitter folks who tweeted about making lists of Bloomberg supporters, but if you were mad about THAT and are “meh” about this, then I think you’re grievously misunderstanding our current political moment.
“It’s just Schmittian cosplay” his defenders will say. And people in power will accept that. But “Leninist cosplay” those same people regard as a firing offense.
It’s a common mantra on the right that “Ideas have consequences.” Whether he tries to hide behind “it was a joke” or not, statements like this have consequences. As one of the replies suggests.
