Arthur Jan Dam of Santa Monica, CA was arrrested this morning & charged with staging cyberattacks on a California Congressional candidate in 2018.
It then says Jan Dam staged DDOS attacks on the campaign’s website in April and May 2018, which took the site down for almost a day.
The attacks came from an AWS account that Jan Dam controlled. 🧐

Jan Dam was also married to a woman who worked for another candidate who wound up winning that race. They said they had no evidence that the woman nor the other candidate knew what Jan Dam did.
I tried to find out who it was, but so far only found this. The dates are a month off, though.
David Min ran and had his campaign computer infiltrated in March 2018. He also lost the election. Lots of similar coincidences.

I should note that in Min’s case, he lost to another candidate in the primary.
Oh, I think I found it. It has to be this one. DDOS attacks, 4 separate attacks, and server space operated by AWS was used to do the attack.

This one was California Democrat Bryan Caforio....he’s the one whose site was DDOS’d.
He reported the attacks to DHS.
