his biggest initiative was probably "the new 52" which was ultimately a massive failure as it tried - for the millionth time - to jettison dc's legacy and wipe the slate clean. and the updates of the characters were terrible.

especially superman.
dc always has this thing where it tries to etch-a-sketch its history and start from zero every 15 yrs or so. meanwhile marvel's superior approach is to just assume everything happened and disappear the embarassing stuff that makes no sense (clone saga).
new 52 was the worst of this. "everything you loved for the last 70 yrs didnt happen, doesnt count, heres superman with no trunks and a janky collar"

Whether he can win aside, if you don’t think Bernie Sanders would be infinitely better in the presidency than Trump I do not know if we can have a conversation. Because people arguing that notion are insane to me.
On day one we would not have a madman with the nukes or ripping migrant families apart. On day one. It’s not even close. Please, God, give me a break. I have differences w Bernie but come the heck on.
Since November 2016 I have been worried we could launch a nuclear strike because of some shit an idiot saw on Fox or if he got owned on Twitter. I would not have to worry about that w Bernie or any democratic candidate and that would be a huge burden lifted. Period.

if bernie wins the nomination he's going to make a very shrewd veep pick, i would bet. and not the cable news/twitter style pick of someone like turner or gabbard.
sanders has a very clear ideology but also this isnt just a proof of concept for him (i think he was shocked he got such support in '16). he wants to win and he'll make the veep pick that helps that goal.
FYI Sanders has some very standard mainstream establishment Democratic Party people in senior positions in his campaign. Everyone is too blinded by primary madness to see this.

Not everyone over there is a twitter firebrand.

For the past few months, I've been spending my free time cataloging every time We Got This Covered has reported on a "scoop" relating to the MCU.

Starting from Dec 31, 2018 to Dec 31, 2019. One year. 407 articles.

An average of a little over one "scoop" per day.
Everyone who's aware of WGTC know that they're unreliable, but this just proves it with numbers. Here are the results from a year of scoops.

What is "Public Information"? Those are scoops which aren't actually scoops. Either because someone else reported it before them or is already public knowledge.

Most baffling example of this is their reporting of the R-Rating for 'Deadpool 3'.

But I'd like to add a few things while unpacking the movie's foundation: comedy itself. (THREAD - SPOILERS)
Arthur Fleck's inability to control his laughter is, as Kristen Lopez states, shown as a sign of his deteriorating mental state, and as has been pointed out elsewhere, the film perpetuates the harmful stereotype that mentally ill people are dangerous.
But Arthur's laughter has a deeper, even more harmful meaning to it.

Arthur is uncomfortable with his laughter. He laughs at things that aren't funny, making others uncomfortable and even angry.

His laughter is the vehicle through which Todd Phillips attacks woke culture.

Outdated news. Latest reports say Disney initially offered 25%, but instead of countering, Sony decided to not do anything for half a year (negotiating tactic?) Disney then raised to 50% to wake Sony up and start negotiating

Everywhere this week there are reminders of Stan Lee.

He was very kind to me every time we met (except for when he tried to run me over with his scooter).

More than that, he was wise. He said the exact thing I needed to hear even though I didn't KNOW I needed to hear it.
I think there's a real danger of making him into a cute photo of a beloved puppy from your childhood. Which is a nice sentiment, but not who he was. He was a real person.
He genuinely cared about people. Thousands of people have a neat Stan story where he said or did something astute and surprising. He had a way of boiling down a mentorship truth to a single sentence or conversation.

Resumindo, o texto defende que às vezes um pepino é só um pepino.
E um filme é só um filme.
Um filme com diretor e personagens negros deveria poder ser só um filme também.

Essa necessidade de super explicar vem do fato de que a representação negra não pode equivaler ao “humano/universal” sem se colar à experiência da dor ou a uma metáfora da opressão.
