I’m over this brand of intersectionality “critique” that fails to engage with #CRT while claiming to dunk on it.

So, a 🧵 responding to @jordanbpeterson’s latest @nationalpost piece.

Let’s start with defining intersectionality. Coined by @sandylocks 30 years ago, intersectionality challenges a “single-axis framework” in feminist and anti-racist discourse by recognizing the “particular manner in which Black women are subordinated.” chicagounbound.uchicago.edu/cgi/viewconten…
In other words, intersectionality is, actually, quite a modest proposition. It simply observes that individuals in “multiply-burdened” groups experience the world differently from their “otherwise-privileged” peers—that, as a Black man, my experiences differ from a Black woman’s.

The last 16 years of planning and transportation management has been nearly useless to reduce private motorized vehicle trips mode share. It's time to change if we want to keep living on this precious islands.
Push and pull policies need to be implemented in the short term.

(1) Today I'm celebrating the best Easter in my 48 years on this earth.

And I'm not even a Christian. But I'll tell you why I'm so grateful for the life and death of Jesus Christ, and those who follow him today, especially those in the USA.
(2) Some years ago I came across the online atheist community, and became very interested in their views and practices. During that time I opened this Twitter account, as a way to connect to that community. I keep the account bc changing the username is too much of a hassle now.
(3) I don't support the practice of assuming a person's beliefs and labeling them according to their Twitter username. I'm an agnostic, not an atheist. I don't believe in God, but I never rule anything out. Atheist SJWs are some of the biggest bullies online.
