Had someone ask via PM what it would take for me to get “bearish.” I’ll take that to mean what would have me exit my positions: here’s a brief guide, and it’s not complex (took me years to get comfortable with simplicity)....
When trading, I use weekly charts mostly. Buy either breakouts or cheats. Sell when weekly close is <30EMA, or sometimes I’ll use <60EMA. Exception: parabolic moves.

Yes, that’s it. My process is directly rooted in Stan Weinstein’s trading philosophy, with some CANSLIM.
When investing, I use monthly charts but the same EMAs. ETFs only. I will buy price moving & then holding above an EMA for 2 wks consecutively, & hold so long as price remains above the prior pivot low, trailing my stops up to the shortest timeframe EMA as a trend matures.
Not going to share more than that, but that’s the basics & I can explain each (trading & investment strategy) in 1 tweet each. The challenge with in $$ mgmt is partly defining a process, I find; but mostly in having the psychological makeup to stick with it.
My approach means I’ll never usually buy change in trend from a downtrend (because Stage 1 basing is common vs a direct move to Stage 2 uptrend) — not will I nail a top. But I will, in many cases, get the majority of a move. And that’s what I’m after.
* not

Sorry for typos, I’m mobile.

Last point: there is more than one way to make $$ out there. Short-term, counter trend, long-short, you name it. How I do things isn’t better/worse; it’s merely a reflection of my personal makeup! ✌🏼
