This big investment and vote of confidence by @TheDemocrats reinforces what we’ve been saying here at @OHDems: Ohio is in play this year.

And when we were turn Blue, the Trump presidency is over.

With so much on the line this year, national organizations are prioritizing states where:

1. @realDonaldTrump is in trouble

2. There are important down-ballot contests, like our Ohio Supreme Court races (which will determine control of the court!)

And when you look at the numbers, it makes sense why groups like @TheDemocrats, @fairfightaction and @swingleft are investing big in Ohio.

And why great Dem leaders like @staceyabrams and @EricHolder see huge opportunities in the Buckeye State

A @BaldwinWallace poll from January 2020 found that Trump trails a generic Democratic candidate by nearly 5 percentage points in Ohio.

And since Trump took office, his net approval in Ohio has decreased by 16 percentage points, according to the @MorningConsult Trump Tracker poll from January 2020.

It’s no wonder Trump has consistently been underwater for the last year -- his failed policies & broken promises have hurt workers, farmers, small businesses and consumers.

2019 was the worst jobs year here since 2009.

He’s bad for Ohio, it’s plain and simple.

And his and the Ohio GOP's relentless attacks on Ohio's women have driven huge numbers of women, including in formerly GOP suburbs, and of all ages, to start voting for @OHDems candidates up and down the ballot - the single largest shift in OH voting patterns in recent years

And not only is Ohio a priority for national orgs because we’re the state that will stop @realDonaldTrump -- we also have two Ohio Supreme Court races that could flip the court’s current GOP majority.

Winning these two Court seats would be HUGE for many reasons--voting rights, worker rights, victims' rights.

But a fair court also mean fairs districts -- ridding Ohio of the most extreme gerrymandering in our history, which has kept extremists like @Jim_Jordan in power

And how do we know we can win two more Ohio Supreme Court seats in 2020?

Because that's exactly what we did in 2018. Our two phenomenal candidates won both those races decisively, and @OHDems rallied to vote through their ballot like never before.

Our awesome @OhioHouseDems and @OHSenDemCaucus leaders @EmiliaSykesOH and @KennyYuko have also put together an incredible slate of women and men running across Ohio. There are many opportunities for pick-ups.

Ending the gerrymandered GOP supermajority is in our reach.

And we have an equally impressive slate of women and men running for the House, from veteran @HillaryMueri to a trio -- @ShannonFreshour @MikeLarsenOH @Sites4Congress -- running to take out Jordan, to @RobertsOhioD6 in Eastern Ohio, and so many more.

@TheDemocrats And what do we do with your support? We put it to work...NOW:

1) given years of voter suppression, we have to "Fight the Purge," which includes registering voters all across the state, especially in areas hardest hit by purging

2) we have to get organized now, long before we know who the nominee is, so we can knock enough doors to inspire our voters to turn out, while also talking to undecided and swing voters about how Democrats have their back on issues like health care and good jobs

3) we need to continue communicating on-line as well, pushing back against Trump's disinformation machine across OH.

We are constantly running targeted digital ads making sure voters see that it's Dems fighting for univrsal health care and good jobs. We need to keep that up
