What people are missing about Warren's attack on Bloomberg last night:

1) She clearly doesn't like MB
2) MB is a stand-in for Trump

When she yelled "This is personal" to MB, she was yelling what millions of women want to yell to Trump's face since the Access Hollywood tape.

Every woman I know wants to yell at Trump "THIS IS PERSONAL" and watch him fall back on his heels with no response.

That's why we marched. Why we've voted. Why we've organized. THIS IS PERSONAL.

Because the personal is political. We know that. We've always known it.

It is personal about our work, our bodies, our health, our future, our vision of justice and community. THIS IS PERSONAL.

It is about our children, our families, our neighborhoods. About women from all classes who ever had a boss threaten her and her livelihood.

THIS IS PERSONAL.

That's the t-shirt and bumper stick and echoing chant I've been waiting to hear: THIS IS PERSONAL.

Because it is. Every woman is personally attacked when another woman has her children taken from her at the border.

It is personal when any woman is robbed of her ability to make moral and ethical choices about her life on the basis of her religion and conscience.

It is personal when we work three or four or five times as hard in our jobs and rarely get the credit -- or the economic reward -- we deserve. THIS IS PERSONAL.

It is personal when a third rate failed reality TV guy winds up in the White House over one of the most accomplished American women in history.

THIS IS PERSONAL.

That great women candidates are not seen as electable. THIS IS PERSONAL.

For every job we haven't gotten because we were too young; for every job we haven't gotten because we were too old. For being told we are shrill; for being told to smile more.

THIS IS PERSONAL.

For every job we haven't gotten because we were of child-bearing age.

Yeah, for every lame excuse cooked up by every boss on the planet for demeaning us, getting rid of us, and refusing to take us seriously.

THIS IS PERSONAL

For every tear we've shared with other women who do understand; for the corners we've had to cut; for our own sad complicity with the forces that kept us down just so we might survive.

THIS IS PERSONAL

So, dear pundits, including my friends in the media, do go on about how uncomfortable Warren's attack was on MB last night.

But know: THIS IS PERSONAL

For all these reasons and a million others.

And yes, SHE PERSISTED. And we persist.

Why?

Because THIS IS PERSONAL.
