If you’re doing coronavirus prep—and you probably should be—there are a couple important things to remember:
1. A regular surgical mask doesn’t do *anything* to prevent you from getting coronavirus — unless you have an N95-quality respirator, don’t bother with a mask.
You may not need them, but don’t risk it.
If you’re sick, STAY HOME.
If someone is coughing and/or sneezing, stay away from them. Virus particulates can fly ~6 feet.
Drink plenty of fluids. Seek emergency medical attention for shortness of breath, etc.
As the CDC said yesterday, hopefully we are overreacting and the preparations will be unnecessary, but don’t risk it.
