It’s 6:35 and some Trump Admin folk are standing in the briefing room near the mic. Everyone is waiting on Donald. He can’t even show up on time. The world is watching. This is another embarrassing and terrible situation building. Trump’s making it worse. This is ridiculous.
Trump just walked in 6 minutes late. There was a shooting in Milwaukee, he started talking about that. 5 people dead, more to come. Him and Mitch still haven’t passed the bipartisan bill on gun reform. They’ve done nothing.
Trump looks very orange and has those tanning goggle eyes. It looks ridiculous. Trump is giving updates on individual cases of coronavirus in US. He’s fiddling with the podium and it’s making a tapping sound. Trump says 2.5 B is a lot to fight coronavirus. Schumer wants 8.5 B
Trump is now talking about the flu and trying to compare it to the coronavirus using broad statistics. Trump is acting like a vaccine will be developed “fairly rapidly.” Every medical professional I’ve seen and spoken to has told me it would take at least a year.
Trump says he’s putting Mike Pence in charge of the coronavirus response. This all just became much more disturbing.
Pence just said they’ve only worked with and spoken to folks from 40/50 states. So they haven’t even talked to every state according to Pence. There is no clear organizational structure. Pence says the threat is low. The word ridiculous comes to mind again. The threat is not low.
Now HHS Sec Azar is at podium. He’s praising Trump and Pence. Trump acted like there were only 15 Americans ill. Azar just said there are over 50. Trump is in the background. Swaying, scratching his ear. Eyes almost closed. Sort of looks like he’s falling asleep. So disturbing.
Now Dr Fauci is at podium saying it will take a year to a year and a half to have a vaccine, totally contradicting Trump’s lie about it being done “rapidly.”
Trump is now lying saying that it’s not inevitable for the coronavirus to spread in America. Says it might or might not. This is not reassuring to America or the world. He keeps saying we have 15 cases and now just admitted there are over 50. He can’t even give a straight answer.
Trump blames stock market losses on the Democratic debate last night. Acting like investors fear any of the Dem candidates becoming president. Absolutely ridiculous.
Now Trump is complaining about not getting wall money. And complaining about Congress being willing to give him money to fight the coronavirus. Yep, he actually said it.
“I think Speaker Pelosi’s incompetent.” Trump just said. “I’ve been beating her routinely at everything.” Just referred to Schumer as cryin’ Schumer. Now he just attacked San Francisco and says Pelosi is to blame for it being dirty. Trump should not be president. This is gross.

Trump again blamed stock market losses on Democratic candidates and the debate last night saying they were “making fools out of themselves.” Then admits stock losses have to do with coronavirus. Now says Dems will destroy 2nd Amendment. Wait, what? Yes he said that. Nutjob.
Now Trump is giving advice as if he’s a doctor. Says to stay inside and “quarantine yourself” if you feel like you have the flu-like symptoms for the coronavirus. Says everyone needs to wash their hands. I can’t believe this is real.
Now Trump is attacking the Fed regarding the stock market. Acts like stock market losses were “very little.” Now he’s back to attacking Schumer. Now Trump is acting like he’s a comic “wash your hands stay clean, don’t grab all the handrails. I try to bail out of people sneezing.”
Trump just tried to correct @drsanjaygupta on statistics acting like the mortality rate of flu is closer to coronavirus. Coronavirus is about 20 times higher mortality rate.
That’s it, Trump is done rambling and lying. Overall I think it couldn’t have gone much worse.
