Yesterday, @theglipper and I filed an amicus brief in the Trump tax records case currently before the Supreme Court. supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/19/1…
The brief addresses the dissent from the DC Circuit, which took the position that Congress's power to investigate in support of legislation is terminated when Congress suspects that the President might've done something that might be impeachable.
What does a request for Treasury docs that was ghost written by Jefferson in an effort to remove Secretary Hamilton from office, or the ambush bludgeoning of a Congressman with a hickory stick, have to do with the House subpoenaing Trump's financial records? Quite a bit actually.
