What the animals in the forest have learned from the last days is that the palace is not at ease. The felidae kingship contest was started when the leopard’s cub assigned the buffalo to his table before the leopardess had a chance at it. Now she has asked the jaguar to grab it.
The jaguar remembers the cold winter of May when they walked in the direction of the young buffalo then and they were scratched by the Leopard. The scar remains visible on their left limb. The forest then was in panic over the fight of the felidae
The monkeys chose the squirrel to speak to the two and the squirrel was eaten. Since then, they has been numbed into silence. But a fearless tiger, who had been famed at the well for good song was now discontent with hunger and wanted a limb of the buffalo.
Over four battles, the tiger has been wounded but so has the leopard. The tiger risks wounding the entire felidae so the leopardess wants a share of the buffalo given to the jaguar so they have energy to help in the fight but the leopard and his cub will have none of that.
Now the forest is back in panic, scampering to watch the fight where they know if no one wins, they all will be eaten by the felidae.

Kahuura, the Clever mice has however hatched a plan to open the door at night for the buffalo to escape but no one in the forest likes him
