Manhattan DA releases sentencing memo in the Harvey Weinstein case detailing history of uncharged bad acts going back 40 yrs including several rapes.
"Starting in the 1970s," it says, "he has trapped women into his exclusive control & assaulted or attempted to assault them."
Beyond alleging uncharged sex crimes, the memo says that multiple people told the DA's office that Weinstein "bragged about his ability to get people killed."
The DA's case at trial was narrowly built around the testimony of 6 women. But the memo, which encompasses acts of violence, harassment and abuse, suggests the expansiveness of the prosecutors' full investigation.
Check in with my colleague @Jan_Ransom for the full story soon...
In 2000, after threatening a female reporter who was trying to ask him questions, Weinstein refused to apologize to her and allegedly told her boyfriend, "I'm glad I'm the $&*$!ing sheriff of this $#$%#$ #$#%% town."
"He took his penis out, masturbated, and ejaculated into a nearby potted plant." 😳
