JUST IN: The #2020Census online form at my2020census.gov has “successfully soft launched” before official 3/12 opening, @uscensusbureau confirms to @NPR. Bureau says ideally households wait for a “Census ID” in mail 3/12-20, but responses received before will be counted.

Every home address on the @uscensusbureau’s list has been assigned a 12-digit code that’s printed on the official #2020Census letters/forms set to arrive at most households March 12-20. This ID helps the bureau verify the data you submit.
