Forgive us, Gracious God, for the idolatry that distorts our reality.

Forgive us for how it has allowed us to shrug off & allow talk about America’s exceptionalism above all others, especially now when one germ is showing how in so many ways we are equal, not exceptional.
Forgive us for trying to make America great without recognizing that greatness is rooted in service to humanity, not slogans filled with narcissism.
Forgive us, oh God, for accepting the idolatry, which when pushed to its conclusion, is successful in separating us from other nations we need, people we need & help we need.

the kind of debate the people deserve & our democracy must have & the future depends upon. Read our questions.
Check the candidates deeply.
Vote, vote, vote.
Challenging candidates does not mean we don’t vote if they don’t do everything we want.
We must push them now, & after the election we cannot disengage.
It doesn’t look like Sanders’ message resonates with African Americans is not the right framing, first because the polls don’t measure ppl who didn’t vote nor those who voted for familiarity. So we don’t think it’s the right question.
