This cake is dense, really moist, satisfyingly chewy and eggless! Dust with a bit of powdered sugar or drizzle with the ganache.
Ready?
👇
Ingredients
1 ½ cups (210 g) flour
1 cup (200 g) sugar
¼ cup (30 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon, optional
1 cup (250 ml) water
¼ cup (65 ml) + 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
MORE
👇
1 tablespoon vinegar *
1 teaspoon vanilla
I only had cider vinegar in the house and it worked perfectly
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
👇
Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan with vegetable oil, bottom and sides, then line the bottom with a round of parchment paper. No parchment? Dust with flour or cocoa powder, shaking out the excess.
👇
Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt (and ground cinnamon, if adding) in a large bowl.
Combine the water, vegetable oil, vinegar and vanilla.
