im tired of the people who just want mindless praise when lives are on the line.
do you know what the two easiest lanes are on progressive twitter? always say the democrats effed up or always say theyve "got this." i deal in reality. i say the dems are doing great when they are and give them hell when theyre fucking up.
when it comes to communications they are endlessly always screwing up. that's the section of this i understand the best from my years of personal and professional experience. and im not diplomatic enough - sometimes to my detriment - to hold my tongue. oh well.
i dont want them to screw up. i dont want the conversation to always be on the playing field republicans laid out. i want the right on defense and the left advancing the ball -- because ultimately that helps people and saves lives. if you want cheerleading go elsewhere.
i simply dont understand the mindset inherent in never offering thoughtful criticism of your own "team." if your quarterback keeps throwing picks, do you just go "you're doing amazing" or do you say "hey, here's some tips on how you can stop fucking losing the game"?
i want the democrats to stop fucking losing the game. because the gop does not give too shits about any of us and people worse off than us and - on paper at least - the democrats are the only option we've got. so maybe stop being a constant rah-rah section.
